The Predictive IT Management™ Suite includes HyPerformix Optimizer, HyPerformix Capacity Manager and HyPerformix Data Manager. The products have been enhanced to provide IT and business stakeholders with insight into current and future application performance and capacity without requiring extensive training in performance engineering.  Major features of the new releases include support for virtualization and SOA, enhanced data collection automation from SAP landscapes and other sources, and enhanced best practice methodologies.

Capacity Manager™, an automated system for IT investment decision support and capacity planning, adds predictive modeling of resource utilization, response time and workloads for the virtualized environments of HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and VMware platforms.  IT organizations know they need to reduce the cost of maintenance on current systems so they can afford to support new business initiatives.  Virtualization and consolidation are intuitively the right things to do but IT is challenged to develop an accurate business case for moving to virtualization, because they can’t accurately forecast cost avoidance and guarantee service levels without better decision support. Capacity Manager’s prescriptive features allow portfolio managers, business analysts and capacity planners to know how virtualized environments will perform, their cost savings, and how long the configuration will continue to meet business requirements. 

Performance Optimizer™, a comprehensive system providing in-depth prescriptions for optimized configurations and ongoing performance operations, now includes support for automated data collection from SAP® R/3 and NetWeaver-based landscapes. SAP customers considering a migration to NetWeaver or module rollouts consistently struggle to accurately size their landscape or forecast the capacity, performance and cost of the infrastructure to support the levels of service demanded by the business. Performance Optimizer is an instrumental part in the HyPerformix Predictive IT Management Solution for SAP and in this release provides an integrated best-practice methodology to ensure successful deployments and migrations. 

Data Manager™, a centralized database for the efficient management and sharing of capacity and performance data, has been enhanced with improved data collection automation, scheduling and validation features. HyPerformix customers are increasingly applying Predictive IT Management to multiple initiatives, so Data Manager's new functionality focuses on effective data and component sharing across users of the system. Data collection and validation are some of the more time-consuming steps in capacity planning and performance engineering and improved automation simplifies the process and accelerates the time to value for customers.
